As I flew over Peach Mountain I couldn't help but reflect on my numerous experiences down in that incredible forest. Whether it was for orienteering, nature walks, looking for wildlife, or gazing up at the stars, this beautiful piece of Michigan has become a special place to me. Its proximity to Ann Arbor and other popular places to live around it make it an easy trip. The fall colors on the trees were just starting to change in this photo. Even this aerial photo doesn't do the place justice. The terrain in particular is amazing once you're on the ground, and it is far enough away from the cities that the night sky opens up many more stars into your view. You'll want to come back many times after your first visit.
